Rightly is a Bible study app operated by Maranatha Technologies (“we”). This policy explains what we collect when you use the Rightly app and studyrightly.com, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect only what is needed to sign you in and sync your notes, we show no ads, we use no third-party trackers, and we never sell your data.
What we collect
- Your account identifier. If you sign in with an email link, we store your email address. If you use Sign in with Apple, we store the identifier Apple provides for your account and, if Apple shares one, your email address (which may be an Apple private relay address).
- Your notes and highlights. When you are signed in, the notes and highlights you create are stored on our servers, with the verses they belong to and when they were changed, so they can sync across your devices.
- Sign-in records. We keep the records needed to keep your session secure, such as sign-in tokens (stored in hashed form) and when they were issued.
How we use it
We use this information only to provide Rightly: to sign you in, to keep your account secure, and to sync your notes and highlights. We send email only to deliver sign-in links and messages about your account.
What we do not do
- We do not show ads.
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not use third-party analytics, advertising or tracking tools in the app or on this website.
- This website does not set cookies.
Who processes it for us
We rely on a small number of service providers, who handle data only to provide their service to us:
- Railway hosts our servers and database, where your account and synced notes are stored.
- SendGrid (Twilio) delivers sign-in emails. It receives your email address and the message we send. Link tracking is turned off.
- Apple provides Sign in with Apple if you choose to use it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and synced notes for as long as your account exists. When you delete a note, it is marked deleted so the deletion can sync to your other devices.
Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your account and everything associated with it by emailing hello@studyrightly.com from the address on your account (or telling us your Apple sign-in email). We will confirm when it is done. You can also ask us for a copy of your data or to correct it.
Children
Rightly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will let signed-in users know.
